
Kristen Anne Bell, born July 18, 1980in the US, is an American actress. Her acting career began by acting in stage productions while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, she made her Broadway stage debut as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and was in a Broadway revival of The Crucible the following year. She later appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and received praise for her performance in the drama on television Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was the title role in the teen noir drama the television show Veronica Mars (2004-2007), getting praise from the critics and winning an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance. In the 2014 film, she reprised her role as the title character and in the new season, she played the title character. Bell has been on the screen from 2007 to 2008 in the role of Elle Bishop in Heroes, which was a drama about superheroes. Bell was the voice of the titular narrator on the teen drama series Gossip Girl. She will reprise her role in the sequel, which will premiere in 2021. Bell also played Jeannie van der Hooven who played the female lead on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell played the lead character in the role of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance. Bell also portrayed the role of Eleanor Shellstrop in the streaming series The Woman in the Home The Girl in the Window Across the Street Girl in the Window.
