Sharon Yvonne Stone born 10th March, 1958 to Dorothy Lawson, a accountant, and Joseph William Stone 2nd, who was a former tool and die worker as well as a factory worker. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted as a child and began the second grade when she was five. In 1975, she graduated from Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). In addition, she competed at the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey to start a modelling career in 1977. They joined The Ford Modeling Agency after a short period of time. In Europe Stone lived for a year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone was unhappy with the fashion market in Europe, and chose to focus on acting instead. At 20, she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories" which received mixed reviews.
